I usually like to keep things organized in some way or another. As for my bookmarks on my web browsers I put them in an order of what to check first to last. The order I have them right now could be better but I am already comfortable with how it is so I probably won't change it. I have heard of Pinterest and Twitter but I have not heard of Known before. Known has probably been mention at some recent time in my life but I can't recall when I did.
I feel like I am doing well in keeping track of all my classes online and on campus. It is quite easy for me to organize them since I can have bookmarks and tabs for my online classes and physical folders in my backpack for classes on campus.
I believe that we all can improve nearly almost any aspect of our abilities if we really try hard enough. Most of the time there is room to grow and improve. However, I also believe that everyone has some sort of fixed area where we cannot grow as much as we would like to. In my case, I know that I have some areas where they are fixed and cannot improve any further. Although I believe that these areas are fixed, several of my close friends have told me that I can be better in those areas because we are the ones who limit our capabilities.
I once heard somewhere that if there was a perfect anything then there that anything would be a lost of interest since it does not have any imagination to grow creatively. Luckily we as humans are always growing and striving to be more than we were before. We learn from our mistakes and improve from it.
The Never-Ending Love Story: The Never-Ending Love Story is a story that I am somewhat familiar
with because my culture has its own rendition of it. I am not quite sure how it
goes anymore but I do remember listening to my late grandmother telling me the
story when I was a child. The title of the story does indeed tell you that it is
about a never-ending love story that will happen through many years that make
it seem endless. The design of the layout increases the vibe of the story
because the stars in the background just seem endless and the two lovers will
always shine brightly next to one another.
Zeus and His Three Ladybirds: The story about Zeus and His Three Ladybirds is very
interesting to me since I do know about his sexual affairs with many Goddesses
and women. The intro to this story takes on the perspective of the Greek Gods
and Goddesses psychiatrist. This takes a very interesting take on how the Gods
are doing with their life and how the Psychiatrist, Dr. Roberts, got to be
their divine therapist. Since knowing about Zeus’s sexual life, I am not
surprised that there is a lot of drama between him and the other Goddesses. The
layout and the design of this story is pretty simple and doesn’t really draw
attention to reading the story.
Japanese Urban Legends: The last story I looked at was the Japanese Urban Legends.
If you have read my posts before, then you should already know that I am a huge
fan of the Japanese culture and kind of terrified by some of their scary
folklore. This story sets the tone for an investigation with its design and introduction.
With the suspects all being supernatural folklore creatures, this crime
investigation story seems like it could be a horror movie. The introduction started
out well with the murder case and the supernatural suspects that can kill you
in an instant. I could not hold back on reading this story so I read through it
and couldn’t sleep very much afterwards. The navigation of this story was
really different from the other two because in the end you were able to choose
who the murderer was and they all had different endings which was really
interesting because it gave more information about the case and the suspect.
All three stories had a very similar navigation bar and were
easy to use. I will enjoy reading the rest of these stories since I read the
last one last night.
Since I come from an Asian background, I have picked the Asian Units that interest me.
Buddha: This unit about Buddha interested me because I have quite a few friend and relatives who are Buddhist and I have always wondered what stories of origin it had. All I know is that there are different kinds of Buddhas since the Chinese one is different from the Indian one so I would like to know more about how they are different and how they are similar as well as the stories that they have.
Chinese: This last spring and summer I took Chinese classes so this unit about Chinese fairy tales caught my interest. Also as a child, my dad would always watch Chinese Kung Fu movies while my grandmother watched the drama and fairy tale movies. I'll probably be searching for these old movies along with new ones to learn more Chinese and about the fairy tale stories.
Japanese: First of all I love to watch Anime and some of them have episodes where they have Japanese mythological creatures like a Kappa, which is river monster/demon that pulls people into the rivers and devours them, or an Oni, which can be a demon, a devil, or an ogre. I have long been interested in the Japanese culture and wanted to learn more about it as well as its mythology and folklore. Some of their more terrifying myths and folklore are the only stories and movies nowadays that really get me to check my closet and under my bed at nights.
Japanese (Lang) and (Ozaki): These two units along with the one above have my most interest since I am very into learning about Japanese culture. The two units about the fairy tales of Japan are so interesting because they are dealing with a supernatural which is kind of scary in its own sense.
Laos: Both of my parents were born in Laos before they came to the US during the Vietnam War and they used to tell me about some of the folklore and superstitions. My girlfriend is also into some of their culture and sort of make me watch their dramas and movies with her. This unit of folklore has my interest due to the connection it has with my family and me.
Hello! My name is Urian Lee and I am majoring in Accounting.
I have lived in Oklahoma ever since the summer of 2007. My family has recently
moved to Wisconsin this past winter so I am basically by myself now besides my
girlfriend and friends I have here. During my years here in Oklahoma, I have
been getting a lot of allergies compared to when I lived in Fresno,
California.
I am the oldest of three and I am the only one with a unique name. I was born in Fresno, Ca. and so was my little brother,
Peter. My younger sister, Emily, was born in St. Paul, Minnesota. The reason
why my sister was born in a different place was because our family had moved up
to Minnesota, a year after my brother was born, was to be closer with other
relatives who lived there and in Wisconsin. There in St. Paul I started
Kindergarten and ended 3rd grade. After finishing the 3rd
grade, my family and I moved back to Fresno. Four years later after moving to
Fresno we moved again and this time to Oklahoma. Why Oklahoma right? Well my parents saw interest in the
country side and in cattle raising so they bought a huge plot of land of about 177
acres in a little place called Nowata.
Not very many people in Oklahoma know much about Nowata. About
90% of my friends here at OU did not know about its existence until I came
along. My family had a lot of cattle when we lived in Nowata. We also had a
little dog too. My dad got our dog right before we moved from Fresno to Nowata.
Her name was Nikki and she was a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix. She was my fourth pet
I had (not including some goldfish I used to have because they only lasted
about a week). A year after we moved in, Nikki had a litter of 3 little
puppies. We named them Mimi, Spotty, and Betty. Each of their names had some
sort of meaning in their appearance. Mimi was because she looked almost exactly
like her mother, Spotty because he had a white spot in the middle of his head,
and Betty because her fur was black and white and reminded us of a cow.

(Mimi saying bye to me as I leave back to OU)
Long story short I graduated high school and I am now still
in college. This recent summer I did not have much time to have fun because I
worked and I had summer classes. In one of my classes I had to find some
historical landmarks around Norman and I chose two landmarks right here on
campus. One of them was the Bizzell Memorial Library that was declared a
National Historical Landmark in 2001. The second historical landmark is the
President’s House that our current OU President Boren is living in.

If I could go back to any of the places that I have already been to, I would probably choose to go back to Minnesota. The reason for choosing to go back there is because I actually have a lot more memories as a child there than any other place I lived. Also there is the Mall of America which is pretty awesome if anyone gets the chance to go.
I have enjoyed every moment that I have had here at the University of Oklahoma. I have no regrets and will always keep moving forward. I hope that this school year will be another great year.
Here is a YouTube video of this years YouTube Rewind!
There
once was a dull-looking Tetra and a beautiful colored Betta who both lived in
the same tank. One
day the Tetra was bored, so he swam around the tank looking for something to do.
While
he was swimming, the Tetra saw that the Betta had long beautiful red and blue
fins unlike the short dull fins he had. Although he was jealous of the
beautiful fish, the Betta was the only other fish that he could invite to play
a game with him. So out of boredom the Tetra asked the Betta to play with him.
The Tetra led the Betta all around the tank looking for something
fun to do. After swimming a lap around the tank, he noticed that the water
filter had a slight current that sucked the water inside of it.
Immediately he said, “Follow me! I know what will be fun today,”
and he swam quickly towards the water filter.
The Tetra swam as fast and as close as he could to the filter and
made a sharp turn before the current could catch him. The Betta quickly
followed him but was not able to turn fast enough. His beautiful long fins got
caught in the current and started dragging him closer to the mouth of the
filter. The Tetra laughed as he watched the Betta frantically swimming to
escape being sucked into his impending doom.
“Why did you lead me to such a dangerous area?” asked the Betta, trying to get away from the current.
“I just thought you would like to get a new look since you have
always had those beautiful long fins of yours ever since you were born,”
answered the chuckling Tetra.
After vigorously swimming for a while, the Betta escaped the
dangerous situation. He then glared at the laughing dull fish and swam away.
Not long after that trick, the Betta asked the Tetra to come and look at something cool. This time the Betta led the Tetra to the treasure chest in the middle of
the tank.
“See this chest? It makes fun bubbles and has shiny coins inside,”
explained the Betta to the intrigued Tetra.
Then the chest opened up and bubbles
started flowing up and out of it. The excited Tetra swam right above the chest
and looked closer at the shiny coins it had inside.
“Hey, where did the bubbles go? How come I can’t pick up the
coins?” asked the Tetra.
As soon as the Tetra was inside of the chest, it closed shut, surrounding him in total darkness. The Tetra began bashing around in the chest
trying to get out.
“What happened? Why is it so dark?” shouted the frightened
Tetra.
The Betta said, “Do not play tricks on others unless you can stand
the same treatment yourself. The chest will open again soon enough. You’ll just
have to wait.”
“Noooooooooooo!!!!”
yelled the trapped Tetra.
Author's Note. This
story was based on the fable "The Fox and The Stork" by Aesop. In
this fable the Fox was looking for a way to amuse himself and played a trick on
the Stork. After that trick the Stork played a similar trick on the Fox and
told him, "Do not play tricks on your neighbors unless you can stand the
same treatment yourself." In my version of this story I changed the Fox
and the Stork to the Betta and the Tetra based on my pet fishes I had when I
was a child. The tricks that these two fish played on each other are much more
dangerous than the Fox and the Stork since both fish were put in real danger.
The pictures that I use show readers how the characters and the setting look. The images of the betta and the tetra are a very good depiction of how the
characters in the story look. One of the main reasons why I chose this
story and its characters is because my whole blog site is called “My Fish Mr.
Fishy” and the story relates to the site since the betta I have now is named
Mr. Fishy.

Dave and Busters is one of my favorite places to go. One of the main reasons why I love going there is because it is basically an adult version of Chuck e Cheese's. There are many games to play and earn tickets from. So far I have accumulated over 3000 tickets since I first went to Dave and Busters. It is difficult to earn tickets since its' location is in Oklahoma City and I don't have a lot of time to go there as often as I like. However, I have found an alternative way to earn tickets without going all the way to OKC. Dave and Busters has created gaming apps on mobile devices where I can earn 100 tickets each day. Next time I visit Dave and Busters I will be exchanging my tickets for big prizes.
Gaming Room of Dave and Busters in Dallas. Dave and Busters has a lot of token games where you drop tokens to get tickets.
Gaming Room of Dave and Busters in Livonia. There are racing games to the left and the two games in the middle are sit and experience what is on the screen games.
